Boston, MA – Die Boston Bruins geben bekannt, dass Stürmer Liam Ruck, der erst vor wenigen Tagen an Position 21 des FIHL-Drafts ausgewählt wurde, auf eigenen Wunsch für einen Trade freigegeben wurde.

Der Plan der Bruins war von Anfang an klar: Mit dem 21. Pick wurde Liam Ruck ausgewählt, um beim nächsten eigenen Draftrecht an Position 33 auch seinen Bruder Markus Ruck nach Boston zu holen. Die Organisation war überzeugt, dass das Brüder-Duo sowohl sportlich als auch menschlich hervorragend zur Zukunft der Franchise passen würde.

Doch der Plan wurde kurz vor dem Pick durchkreuzt. Die Philadelphia Flyers entschieden sich an Position 30, Markus Ruck auszuwählen. In den darauffolgenden Minuten versuchten die Bruins intensiv, einen Trade mit Philadelphia zu realisieren, um die Brüder doch noch zu vereinen – jedoch ohne Erfolg.

Die Enttäuschung war auf beiden Seiten groß. Sowohl die Organisation als auch Liam Ruck hatten sich auf die gemeinsame Zukunft der Brüder in Boston gefreut. Nach mehreren Gesprächen äußerte Liam schließlich den Wunsch, seine Karriere in einer Organisation fortzusetzen, in der er unbelastet einen Neuanfang machen kann.

GM Luca Martschini:
„Wir haben Liam bewusst gedraftet, weil wir an ihn glauben und weil wir überzeugt waren, mit Markus gemeinsam etwas Besonderes aufbauen zu können. Dass unser Plan kurz vor unserem Pick scheiterte, war für alle Beteiligten eine große Enttäuschung. Wir respektieren Liams Wunsch und werden alles daran setzen, eine Lösung zu finden, von der beide Seiten profitieren.“

Die Boston Bruins bedanken sich bei Liam Ruck für seine Offenheit und Professionalität während der Gespräche. Obwohl seine Zeit in Boston letztlich nie richtig begonnen hat, wünschen ihm die Bruins für seine weitere Karriere nur das Beste.

Ab sofort hören die Boston Bruins Angebote für Liam Ruck und werden gemeinsam mit dem Spieler nach einer Franchise suchen, bei der er seine Karriere mit voller Überzeugung fortsetzen kann.

Providence Bruins krönen sich zu FIHL-AHL-Champions

Die Boston Bruins Organisation und General Manager Luca Martschini freuen sich, den Gewinn der FIHL-AHL-Meisterschaft bekanntzugeben. Mit einer herausragenden Saison und einem dominanten Playoff-Auftritt sicherten sich die Providence Bruins den ersten Titel der Organisation.

Nach dem Einzug in die Playoffs zeigte das Team über vier Runden hinweg konstant Spitzenleistungen und setzte sich schließlich im Finale mit 4:1 gegen Colorado Eagles durch. Der Titelgewinn ist das Ergebnis einer geschlossenen Mannschaftsleistung, einer erfolgreichen Kaderplanung und der kontinuierlichen Entwicklung junger Talente innerhalb der Bruins-Organisation.

Angeführt wurde die Offensive von Aatu Räty, der in 22 Playoff-Spielen beeindruckende 24 Punkte (16 Tore, 8 Assists) erzielte und damit die Postseason-Scorerwertung des Teams anführte. Unterstützung erhielt er von Georgii Merkulov (21 Punkte), Fabian Lysell (21 Punkte) und Ian Mitchell (16 Punkte), die maßgeblich zum Erfolg beitrugen.

Der Titelgewinn der Providence Bruins bestätigt den erfolgreichen Weg der Bruins-Organisation. Die Entwicklung junger Spieler, die Tiefe des Kaders und die geschlossene Teamleistung bilden eine starke Grundlage für zukünftige Erfolge.

Szene des Abends - Pokalübergabe mit Schwierigkeiten:

Besonders emotional gestaltete sich die Pokalübergabe nach dem Finalsieg. Die amtierenden Titelverteidiger der vergangenen Saison, die Rockford IceHogs, schienen sich nur schwer von der begehrten Trophäe trennen zu können. Liganahe Beobachter berichteten, dass der Meisterpokal zunächst nicht freiwillig herausgegeben werden wollte.

Erst nach dem entschlossenen Eingreifen von General Manager Luca Martschini konnte die Situation geklärt werden. Mit der nötigen Überzeugungskraft und dem Hinweis auf die eindeutigen Kräfteverhältnisse der aktuellen Saison wechselte der Pokal schließlich den Besitzer und fand seinen verdienten Platz in den Händen der Providence Bruins.

„Wir respektieren die Leistung der letztjährigen Champions. Aber irgendwann muss man akzeptieren, dass die Zeit eines neuen Meisters gekommen ist“, kommentierte Martschini mit einem Schmunzeln während der anschließenden Feierlichkeiten.

Die Rockford IceHogs mussten sich letztlich geschlagen geben und den Pokal freigeben – ein symbolischer Moment für den Machtwechsel an der Spitze der FIHL-AHL.

Grund für die Absage ist eine Ligaeinschreitung seitens der FIHL, die einen kurzfristigen Einsatz Jagrs im heutigen Spiel gegen die Florida Panthers verhindert. Linus Ullmark kehrt zu den Boston Bruins zurück

Die Boston Bruins können einen prominenten Rückkehrer begrüßen: Linus Ullmark ist zurück in Boston. Mit diesem Schritt vereinen die Bruins erneut eines der stärksten Torhüter-Duos der Liga, denn gemeinsam mit Jeremy Swayman soll der sogenannte „Hug Train“ wieder Fahrt aufnehmen.

Im Gegenzug verlassen Filip Ekberg sowie David Rittich die Bruins. Zusätzlich erhalten die Bruins einen Draftpick der 6. Runde im NHL Draft 2026.
